Although I had a little bit of difficulty finding this place, I am definitely a fan! I got the bolognese sauce with chicken topping! The portion was actually very filling and gave a lot of meat! I loved the flavor and the consistency of the noodles! The only thing I wished was that the chicken was mixed in more instead of just a topping.

The cashier was patient, friendly and helpful! I bought uncooked pasta sticks and he gave very thorough directions on how to cook it! If I come back to Venice, I will definitely make the time to come here again!

Venice is expensive AF.. such a touristy destination. My husband and I are simple travelers- we're very practical.. really don't care for a fancy overpriced meal when traveling because there are good food out there that won't cost you an arm and a leg. And this place is one of them.

I've done some research prior to our trip and had bookmarked Dal Moros from the pictures of the pastas alone! When we got there, there was a small line but nothing crazy. Line was quick and staff was friendly. I ordered the carbonara and my husband the pesto. Both pastas were delicious. They were very generous with the carbonara and pesto sauce- super good! (See photos!) Each costed 7 euros. Definitely a good place to grab a quick bite as you venture through Venice.

We got the pesto pasta and the carbonara. This place was probably really good when it started in 2012. There seems to be a quality control issue for sure. In particular, with the sauces. However, the actual pasta itself is not great either for certain pastas - in particular it is not dense enough in the spaghetti or the fettuccine. The pasta is not al dente. I like my pasta al dente, so for me, this was a real drawback. I think the biggest problem with this pasta (particularly the carbonara), it that the sauce is low grade, and tastes like it's made from a powder that you just add water to. It's slimy. Bland. Terrible. It sort of taste like cafeteria food, elementary school cafeteria food (no knock on my lunch ladies, you did your best wit the ingredients that you had). I'm sorry to say these things because I really don't like delivering bad feedback to restaurants. I realize how much work it is to be in the res business and it sucks to have to write something like this.

If you ask for toppings, the toppings are piled onto you pasta in big clumps. Nothing is mixed in, and it looks very rushed and mechanical. I asked for cheese and red cracked red pepper on the pesto pasta. I asked for "light"'cracked pepper and they heaped a huge scoop of pepper onto my pasta. So much that I couldn't eat the pasta because it was spoiled by the overpowering spice. The cheese sat in huge clumps on the top of the pasta. The pesto sauce really creaminess and depth. I really don't understand where all of the adulation and approbation come from here. It can only imagine that maybe some of the other pastas are good or maybe I was there on a bad day. But I hope the managers do something to address the quality of certain options.

I can only rate on the vegan option, but wow it was delish! I had vegan sauce with rigatoni, added green olives and mushrooms.  Somehow I lucked up and there was no one in the place when I arrived just past noon on a Thursday. I ordered and waited maybe 2 minutes for my order to be ready.  Hot and super fresh, I couldn't believe how delicious this simple pasta was.  But the noodles and the sauce were amazing... that veggie combo is fire too!  I also learned they have a location in Barcelona so now I know a quick easy vegan meal there now too!

This place is awesome! Came here specifically for the vegan option but was excited to find out that it's inexpensive and absolutely delicious!

My brother, dad and I ordered the vegan napoletana sauce with green olives & mushrooms. Our orders were €7.50 each (€6 for pasta + sauce, €1 for mushrooms, €.50 for green olives)

We then traveled down to the Ponte de le Bande (Bridge of the Band, it's right near the bar, Zanzibar), it's just a 2 minute walk northeast of Dal Moro's. There are two benches there or you can sit on the canal.

The pasta was SO good! Literally one of the best vegan pasta dishes I've ever had and it was in a box! The sauce was flavor, pasta was fresh, and the vegetables complimented it beautifully. It was a awesome lunch with a great view. Definitely check out this place!
